Donations to Backyard Harvest and Trinity Moscow Food Pantry go farther to
help the hungry

 

Both Backyard Harvest and Trinity Moscow Food Pantry are participating in
the 15th Annual Feinstein Hunger Challenge.

 

Any money donated to either Backyard Harvest or Trinity Moscow Food Pantry
from March 1st to April 30th, 2012 will count towards the challenge.

 

Alan Shawn Feinstein has donated $1,000,000 each year for the past fourteen
years to this challenge, which goes to agencies that fight hunger.  The
Feinstein Foundation makes a donation to the agency proportionate to the
amount the agency has received in donations over March and April.  So, the
more money Backyard Harvest and Trinity Moscow Food Pantry can collect
during that period, the more money they are eligible to receive from the
Feinstein Hunger Challenge.  In the past, more than 1.25 billion dollars has
gone to help over 2000 agencies nationwide that serve the needy.

Donations of any amount can be made online to Backyard Harvest
(www.backyardharvest.org) or sent to BYH, PO Box 9783 in Moscow.  Donations
to Trinity Moscow Food Pantry can be mailed to 711 Fairview in Moscow.
