> March 21, 2012 (Moscow, Idaho) – The National Weather Service in Spokane, Washington has issued a flood warning for southwestern Latah County. With additional rain and snow accumulations forecasted, it is anticipated that local stream levels, particularly Paradise Creek may rise later today as rain and melting snow feed into the creek. Rising water from Paradise Creek could potentially affect Bridge Street and Hillcrest Drive in Moscow. Other small streams are expected to flow at unusually high levels for the next 24 hours.

City crews will monitor water levels and continually check traditional trouble areas. Residents are encouraged to be aware of storm drain catch basins in front of their homes, and are asked to clear those drains as need to keep water flowing.
