Insanity - a vote away

I have no problem with people disliking President Barack Obama. But, by avowing hatred of all things Obama, a Mitt Romney vote means Romney killed bin Laden, bailed out the auto industry and his father marched with Martin Luther King - not.

A Romney vote also means: Women should be pregnant and subservient; Social Security and Wall Street's wedding is Jan. 20; jobs, jobs, jobs actually means abortion legislation; USA, Inc.; drug test welfare and unemployment recipients; voter ID laws rock (despite little voter fraud); men control women's health care and contraception choices; bankers, Rush Limbaugh and Grover Norquist are our representatives; ending tax subsidies for corporations is a tax; Wall Street decides policy, who gets elected and what programs are funded; Citizens United is fair; drill, baby drill; programs for jobs, infrastructure and energy are unnecessary; Pell Grants schmell grants, your folks are flush; teachers are bottom feeders; and 30-round clips - fun for all.

How does this qualify as any government, let alone the "small" government we keep hearing about?

Is it not obvious? Congressional Republicans - and some Democrats - have ceased representing us. Our vote says, "Hey! Corporations! Take my job, my pension and my dignity." Sound crazy? ... only a vote away.

We have senators and representatives opposing their own legislation simply because ... they don't like Obama. Wow, government that says screw everyone to spite one guy. Being mean, uncompromising and intolerant is good politics?

Now, Romney is chumming around with Donald Trump. Conservative columnist George Will correctly called Trump a "bloviating ignoramus." You want a president who is beholden to him? "The Donald" in Romney's cabinet? I shiver.

Please educate yourselves, all is not well.
