Scuttlebutt from a reliable source tells me that a local school is not only interested in the federal building, but has been measuring its indoor spaces.

Hmmm.

Seeya round town, Moscow.

I don't know exactly how much space is available within the building that might be redirected to other uses, but some functions, such as information system redundancy and security, don't necessarily require large amounts of space, though they should have space in significantly different locations than their primary operations.

Let's remember this building was constructed for its first customer, the United States government. It is not unreasonable to expect that the US government, as a responsible party representing all of us, will act responsibly to remove known dangers from the building before it is offered for sale and alternative uses.
