There have been many articles about Obama since last week's NYT story about how his administration plans its drone murder attacks. Here's Robert Scheer talking about the policies and how the story is planted to show how 'tough' Obama is as part of his campaign.

As he points out, Pfc. Manning was imprisoned (under conditions that amounted to torture, for months) for leaking information about what we were doing. While publicly the administration claims the drone program is too secret to even acknowledge, administration flunkey's are leaking information to make Obama look good.

Remember too, that the only people to face prosecution under Obama for Bush's torture program are the people who have leaked the truth about torture.

It should be clear that Obama's 'Global War on Terror' is a seamless continuation of Bush's policies, with better pronunciation, and no criticism from the Democratic establishment. He has stepped up drone attacks, and attacks in countries like Yemen. His drones return to attack scenes to kill rescuers and mourners:

Using their highly developed doublespeak skills, his administration decided that Al-Awlaki's Fifth Amendment Due Process rights could be met by deliberations within the Administration. So a group of people determined to commit murder could satisfy their victim's due process rights. Amazing.

Once upon a time, when Bush was doing this crap, we could tell it was wrong. Now not so much...What used to be recognized as wrong is now bipartisan policy.

Hope? Change?

Sunil
