Title: Palouse Plein Air 2012

July 24, 2012 -

Calling all painters!  The City of Moscow and the Moscow Arts Commission invite you to participate in the second annual Palouse Plein Air 2012.

The competition begins September 14, 2012 with eight days of painting in a variety of locations.  All painting mediums are welcome!  You can pick up applications at the Arts Department in City Hall in Moscow or download an application form at http://www.moscow.id.us/art/pleinair.aspx.

What is Plien Air?
French for "in the open air" used to describe the act of painting outdoors. Plein air competitions are all about painting outdoors in a specific area or region and then having those paintings exhibited in an art gallery.
