[Vision2020] A literate rewriting of my Co-op message

Maybe, they can do like we use to do in small elections, and have a person from each candidate's campaign in the room when ballots are counted. What does the Coop's constitution and bylaws dictate?

So, per my usual rapid write and run response (although perhaps worse this
time since I had a baking project concurrent with my message and the oven
timer was binging at me) let me correct my sloppy text.
Who will monitor both the voting and the counting of ballots to
ensure that the integrity of the election is maintained? If the current
Board is operating as
described it certainly would not be helpful to them to have new
board members elected who disagree with their policies and management. And,
for those of us outside the inner co-op circle, what events
and/or attitudes precipitated this sad turn of events?

Save OUR Food Coop
The Moscow Food Co-op Board of Directors supported censorship of the
Co-op's newsletter, when five letters to the editor from Co-op
members were deleted from the January 2012 issue. That censorship
resulted in editor Bill London resigning in protest.
The Moscow Food Co-op Board of Directors has made significant
decisions in isolation, without allowing member input, in clear
violation of the Co-op mission. For example, in December of 2011,
the board ruled, with no previous announcement or opportunity for
member involvement, that members who had been Co-op employees or even
job applicants in the last 2 years were NOT eligible to be board
candidates. Well-prepared candidates, including former Co-op board
president Bill Beck and local farmer and former board member Margo
Kay (who had both applied for Co-op jobs within the last two years)
were not allowed to run for election.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
See www.saveourfoodcoop.com
Vote for a new board.
Vote at the Co-op during the week of March 6 through 12, for board
candidates Kurt (Sam) Obermayr and Bill London.
