[Vision2020] PR - Council Committee to Discuss Overnight Parking in Downtown

I often pondered the same thing in my college days. My guess is that the City would rather you drive and not take up a valuable parking spot downtown on a early morning. I opine this based on the fact that most Latah area residents cannot afford the fine imposed by the City if they leave their car.

One question concerning overnight parking on Main Street that has been discussed here on the Viz that should be brought before the PWF Committee . . .

What options are there for somebody, parked on Main Street, who (late in the evening) decides they have had too much to drink . . . and drive?  Would they be legally permitted to leave their vehicle parked on Main Street overnight?

Seeya later, Moscow.

>February 9, 2012 (Moscow, Idaho) – The City of Moscow Public Works/Finance Committee will be reviewing overnight parking restrictions in the downtown area on February 13, at 3 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers at 206 E Third Street.  The area to be discussed includes Washington, Jackson, and Main Streets from First to Eighth Street in the downtown core.   A request has been brought to the Council to reduce the overnight parking restrictions to accommodate business access primarily in the early morning hours of the current parking restrictions.
