[Vision2020] "Soldiers Who Want To Be Heroes" By Rod McKuen

Anyone that is willing to train, work hard, put their body and life at risk, and sometimes sacrifice it, so I can and 100s of millions can sleep safely at night is always a hero to me. I get what they are doing, and I appreciate it beyond what words I choose to express it. What I don't get, is why our political leaders treat them with such disregard by placing them needlessly in harm's way. That doesn't square with me.
