[Vision2020] If Santa Claus was a Politician, To Which Party Would He Belong?

I feel that Santa Claus would be a republican for two reasons . . .

1 - Santa Claus would be required to create a "retirement fund" and a health care package if the elves organized.  Costs related to these benefits may be incurred by children globally as less and less of their (the children's) Christmas lists are fulfilled.

2 - Children are required to meet the standards established by someone with whom they rarely, if ever, interact.  Failure to meet those standards places that child on the "Naughty List" without any due process, ultimately resulting in his requested Christmas list being inexplicably reduced to a chunk of coal.

And what about Mrs. Claus?  Has anybody heard anything from/about her?  Is he permitted to seek a career?  Or is she locked up in some North Pole "playhouse" accessible only by Santa?
