[Vision2020] [more] Look See What Tri-State is Promoting . . .

If you took time to read the postings, Mr. Price, you would understand that nobody is denying anybody second amendment rights. The question concerns appropriateness of the venue and the necessity of a CWP.
Taking firearms into a theater was inappropriate in Aurora (Colorado) as it is in Moscow, Idaho, and . . .
Unless a person lives in a violent, crime-ridden community, there is no necessity for a concealed-weapon permit. Any venue where a person can carry a concealed weapon, that same person can carry that same weapon in plain sight.
In fact, I believe that if weapons were carried in plain sight (versus concealed) their mere known presence is likely to quell any potential shootings.
But, then, that is just my opinion.
Seeya round town, Moscow.

>> That's not a very good characterization of what that saying means. I take it to mean that if you ever find yourself in a situation where you will literally die if you don't fight your way out of it, then it's better to be armed and survive than to be unarmed and die despite the impending court case which will follow. Notice that it doesn't mean that you should step into a situation you could easily have avoided, because then the comparison is between being judged by 12 vs. nothing at all. It's all about personal defense, not some kind of Rambo fetish or some bizarre need to tie up the court system.

>> Given that, what it really means is, “I’ve got a gun, and even though those who know me know I don’t have good judgment, I’ve decided I’mgoing to be judge, jury, and executioner all by myself and then hope I get away with it. And if I don’t, then I’m going to rant & rave how corrupt & unfair the justice system is, and I’m going to do everything in my power to not accept that judgment by 12. And, I’m going to eat up taxpayer dollars by tying up the courts with my nonsense, and then I’m going to rant & rave even more about how inefficient & wasteful the justice system is because I don’t want to take my medicine for harming or killing another human being. And, I’m going to play financial games so that hopefully I can get someone else to pay my legal expenses – there are plenty of sympathetic deep pockets who disrespect the judicial system as much as I do and love to waste taxpayer dollars for The Cause.”
