PRESS RELEASE
Title: Fall Art Workshops

August 07, 2012 - The City of Moscow and the Heart of the Arts, Inc. have partnered to provide art workshops for children and adults this fall at the 1912 Center. These workshops provide not only a day of fun but an opportunity to learn new skills and gain experience in a variety of art fields.

These workshops include: Drawing with Dana Aldis and Oil Painting with Aaron Johnson.

In Drawing children and adults will each have classes in which they will develop their drawing skills and hand-eye coordination while working from observation (not photographs). Students will learn basic traditional drawing techniques such as line, structure, value/shading and cross-hatching, as well as composition.

In Oil Painting have fun while learning the basics of oil painting, using oil paints and less-toxic mediums and solvents (no turpentine fumes!). Stretch your own canvas and learn about traditional techniques like under painting, glazing, and alla prima painting. No prior experience is necessary and anyone is welcome!
