PRESS RELEASE
City of Moscow to Host Poverty on the Palouse Forum Meeting

September 16, 2011 (Moscow, Idaho) - The City of Moscow will host the 4th in a series of Poverty on the Palouse Forums on September 20, 2011 in Council Chambers at Moscow City Hall at 7 p.m. This forum has been developed to coordinate efforts to meet the needs of low income people in Moscow and the Palouse, in response to concerns expressed by service providers about their ability to meet increasing demands on their limited resources.

The group has established an advisory panel to oversee sub-committees tasked with addressing needs ranging from communication, to medical care, to food and childcare needs and more.

The Moscow League of Women Voters has chosen poverty as the topic of its yearlong study, and is also holding a series of forums on poverty in our region.

These meetings are free and open to the public for those interested in Poverty on the Palouse.
