[Vision2020] Am I the Only One that Finds This Distasteful?

According to the link in your email, it's a party they have near the beginning of every school year to welcome back UI and WSU students. Presumably, it happened to fall on 9/11 this year.
I'm sure there are plenty of other cases where some non-9/11-related event is scheduled for Sunday. Should every organization cancel all their events on Sunday because they happen to fall on this date?
I'm all for a remembrance of 9/11, I encourage it, but the entire country shouldn't have to halt everything that day. In my opinion, of course.
You guys find the funniest things to get all worked up over.
Paul

Can you even begin to imagine the fallout if a Muslim mosque had a block party on Sunday?
