confirmed by the Defense Department from August 26, 2011 through September
1, 2011:

The following U.S. service members died while supporting Operation
Enduring Freedom combat operations in Afghanistan, confirmed by the
Defense Department from August 26, 2011 through September 1, 2011:

Army Sgt. Devin J. Daniels, 22, of Kuna, Idaho; assigned to the 546th
Transportation Company, 82nd Sustainment Brigade, XVIII Airborne Corps,
Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Army Spc. Dennis James Jr., 21 of Deltona, Florida; assigned to the 2nd
Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain
Division, Fort Polk, Louisiana.

Army Pfc. Christophe J. Marquis, 40, of Tampa, Florida; assigned to the
1st Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team,
25th Infantry Division, Fort Wainwright, Alaska.

Army Pfc. Alberto L. Obod Jr., 26, of Orlando, Florida; assigned to the
391st Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 16th Sustainment Brigade, 21st
Theater Sustainment Command, Bamberg, Germany.

Army Sgt. Colby L. Richmond, 28, of Providence, North Carolina; assigned
to the 546th Transportation Company, 82nd Sustainment Brigade, XVIII
Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Army Spc. Christopher J. Scott, 21, of Tyrone, New York; assigned to the
716th Military Police Battalion, 101st Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne
Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
