[Vision2020] Supplemental Levy

 Support Moscow Schools Supplemental Levy but hold the Idaho Legislature responsible for this tax burden!

I have given serious thought about voting to increase my property taxes this November 8th.  I really do not want to vote another increase in taxes on myself.  However, since the state legislature and the Idaho Department of Education do not appear to think education is worth spending money on, I have decided this is a necessary investment in our community’s future. 
The legislature this past session has passed more of its financial responsibility for supporting public education onto local communities. To add insult to injury, our Superintendent of Public Instruction, Tom Luna, foisted a whacko scheme to replace teachers with laptops. The Dept. of Ed. website basically states it is cheaper.  Now, some out-of-state corporations will gladly sweep up our tax dollars which used to pay teacher’s salaries. They call it Students Come First.  
I do hope all voters consider carefully this crucial funding for Moscow schools. I also hope Idaho voters consider who is responsible creating the situation and denies reelection to state officials who are complicit in this scandal.
