City of Moscow Hosts National Take Back Initiative Event

October 21, 2011 (Moscow, Idaho) - The Moscow Police Department and Sustainable Environment Commission is teaming up with the Drug Enforcement Administration for a National Take Back Initiative  at the Moscow Farmers Market on Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm.  This program is a nationwide program allowing anyone and everyone to drop off their unwanted medications.  The City of Moscow is supported in this initiative by the Idaho Nursing Association and the Latah County Youth Advocacy Council.

The Moscow Police Department is inviting anyone who wants to dispose of their unwanted medications to bring them to the Farmers Market on Saturday, October 29, 2011. The drop off site will be at the City of Moscow tent.  An officer will be present to take possession of the medications to ensure proper disposal.  Liquid medications and needles cannot be accepted.
