US MARINE STANDS UP TO THE NYPD AT OCCUPY WALL STREET PROTESTS

This weekend, United States Marine Corps. Sgt. Shamar Thomas from Roosevelt, NY faced down over a dozen NYPD officers and gave them hell about their brutality that has been plaguing the ‘Occupy Wall Street’ movement.

The 24-year-old Marine veteran (2 tours in Iraq) confronted the officers and lectured them about the tactics they have been using against the peaceful protesters. Thomas comes from a long line of people who sacrifice for their country, mother, Army Veteran (Iraq), stepfather, Army, active duty (Afghanistan), grandfather, Air Force veteran (Vietnam), great grandfather Navy veteran (World War II).

Sgt. Thomas is a large man (he plays football) which probably deterred police from trying to take him down. He told the grouped together officers that if they want to hurt people, they should go to Iraq or Afghanistan and that it’s dishonorable to hurt unarmed American citizens. After the police retreated, the crowd cheered for Thomas.
