In brief: Body of college student found along highway near Moscow

The Idaho State Police on Saturday said the body of a college student missing for two weeks had been found.

Joshwa C. Merriken, 36, of Moscow, was walking south on the shoulder of U.S. Highway 95 just south of Moscow wearing dark clothing and no reflective gear, according to an ISP news release. Merriken was a Lewis-Clark State College student who was last seen Sept. 30 walking from Lewiston to Moscow, 30 miles away. Authorities believe he was hit that day between 4:30 and 7 p.m., possibly by a late 1980s or early 1990s Ford pickup with a camper.

Anyone with information that could help identify the vehicle is asked to call the ISP at(208) 799-5150.
