[Vision2020] Rick Perry's Newest Problem

Didja actually *read* the article (and referenced articles) put out? Or just fall prey to the damning headlines?

According to the article, Perry’s father had the offending landmark painted over as soon as he came into the lease of the property. That was nearly 30 years ago.

Then apparently later on as the paint faded away (some 20 years ago), Perry simply had the rock turned over.

Perry (and his family) *didn’t* allow the offensive term to be on public display when the property came under their control.

Either:

1) You never read the article.

2) You have some facts other than what were stated in the article (in which case, “please enlighten us”).

3) You read the article, but chose to ignore its content and jump on the hate bandwagon-- assuming everything was a lie.

If you are basing/spreading this rhetoric from the other parts of the article, which simply give quotes from local residents regarding “what life used to be like down there”, and then placing a *stereotype* onto Rick Perry because of where he grew up… I have news for you: *that’s discrimination.*

Paul Rumelhart inquires:

"Can't we live in a world that has things others find offensive?"

When in the public arena . . . such as a presidential candidate, for example . . . it is not only offensive, but extremely disrespectful for Rick Perry to allow the term "niggerhead" to be emblazoned on property under Perry's control on public display, especially with a black president and directly competing with Herman Cain for their party's nomination. At bare-bones minimum, it should be considered tactically inappropriate.
