For anyone seeking information about the ideas behind the various
Occupy protests, the following Dailycal.org website is worth reading.

Though the Occupy protests are deliberately "horizontal," without an
official party platform, this does not mean they are without
social/political power.  All it takes is for this movement to mobilize
an extra million voters (or even less) to swing one way or another,
and the presidency of the United States, or US senatorial or
representative races, could swing one way or another.

Some of the comments on Vision2020 don't appear to express recognition
of this basic political reality, as if the Occupy protests are too
disorganized and/or incoherant to take seriously.

If you don't want Obama re-elected, you better hope the Occupy
protests go away and/or lose any semblance of popular influence.
Though some of the issues involved cross party lines, I think given
the choice most of the Occupy protestors would pick Obama over any of
the republican options, though from what I have gathered Obama is also
a target for their protest against the domination of the wealthy over
our political system.
