A GREAT reason why the Defense Department budget should be SLASHED not
cut!
We cannot afford to waste government funds to stage basketball games
on aircraft carriers!
Then when you add some other startling figures to waste in the DoD,
that have NOTHING to do with national defense, such as the money paid
to the various coaches at the military academies, it's time to SLASH
and use the remaining funding on defense!
The GAO issued a report in September 2003 (publication GAO-03-1000) on
Military Education and gave the following cost per graduate for the
Fiscal year 2002:
USMA: $349,327
USNA: $275,001
USAFA: $322,750
Ask yourself, has this cost gone DOWN in the past 9 years?
