Tiny Leopard Cat Cubs Sabed From Floods

Two leopard cat cubs that were saved from floods in Cambodia have made a full recovery at the Phnom Tameo Wildlife Rescue Centre.

About three weeks ago, a fisherman found three new born leopard cat cubs in a hole where their mother apparently left them. She would have been escaping the floods in the Kien Svay district, Kandal province.

The cubs were brought to the rescue centre on October 12. One of the cubs died on October 30, but the two surviving females are now being hand fed on a diet of milk by zoo worker Sar Roeun.

"I consider these leopard cat cubs like my children. I felt love for these animals when they arrived, so I asked the zoo manager to allow me to take care of them and teach me how to treat them properly," said Mr Roeun.
