[Vision2020] Fw: Huge news on Keystone XL

I called the White House comment line number given in your post, just
now: President Obama 202-456-1111.

It took about 7 minutes before an operator answered, while an
automated message played over and over. The recommended script in
your post given for a comment is too long, it seems. I simply said,
calmly and clearly: "My name is Ted Moffett, calling from Moscow,
Idaho. I urge President Obama to block the Keystone XL pipeline
project."

Before I could continue, which I guarantee I could have for hours upon
hours, the operator thanked me for my comment, and indicated it would
be passed on to the presidents office.

I can understand given the volume of calls a need to keep comments as
brief as is reasonable.

I am nearly certain Obama will approve the Keystone XL pipeline. Too
many powerful economic and political interests would exploit such a
decision to label Obama as anti-business, blocking US jobs for the
pipeline construction, damaging national security, encouraging
dependence on foreign oil from unfriendly nations, pandering to tree
hugger socialist environmentalists... And anthropogenic climate change
as an issue? Ha! It is clear that the pollsters advising the
president have informed him that emphasizing this issue is politically
damaging for his campaign, if you survey Obamas public comments over
the past year... Climate change has mostly dropped off the political
radar...

The propaganda to delegitimize the science indicating that
anthropogenic climate change is one of the greatest long term threats
to the US, and humanity, has been successful!
