An earlier message about the bench dedication on July 9 honoring Ringo, Trail and Greene contained an error. Bob Greene is still the owner of BookPeople and BookPeople is still in business. He was incorrectly described as the “former owner.”

Bench Dedication Honors Ringo, Trail, and Greene

Celebrating the values and vitality of Moscow’s progressive community, Moscow Cares is sponsoring a city park bench dedication at 3pm on Saturday, July 9, open and free to the public, announced Moscow Cares spokesperson Tom Hansen. The Park Bench Dedication ceremony will begin near the arch at the southwest entrance to Moscow’s East City Park.

A short ceremony will honor Bob Greene, owner of BookPeople, and Shirley Ringo and Tom Trail, the Latah County Representatives in the Idaho House. The three will be honored for their support of Moscow’s progressive community with the presentation of a park bench in each of their names, provided by Moscow Cares.
