Title:  Wren Welcome Garden

7/28/2011 - Calling All Artists!

The City of Moscow, Idaho is requesting applications from professional artists who can demonstrate qualifications for producing outdoor public art. Eligibility is open to artists, architects and design teams living in Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Montana and Wyoming. From this pre-qualified pool, three semi-finalists will be paid $500 each to prepare detailed site-specific proposals for the design, fabrication and installation of a permanent outdoor sculpture in a city park in September 2012. Budget: $35,000. RFQ deadline: September 9, 2011.

Budget
The budget for the upcoming project is $35,000 (all-inclusive). Funds must cover design work, engineering, fabrication, transportation, delivery, site preparation and installation as well as insurance, artist's fee and travel expenses associated with installation.

Deadline
The RFQ applications must be received by Friday, September 9, 2011 at 4 pm MST (postmark not acceptable). Late entries will not be considered -- no exceptions. Qualifications: Eligibility is limited to applicants who have completed at least two permanent outdoor public artworks. To achieve an artistically diverse public art collection, preference will be given to artists who have not been previously commissioned by the City of Moscow.
