Tea party out to destroy economy

Why does the Tea Party want to destroy America's economy?

The crisis over raising the debt limit has been entirely created by these miscreants.

While we have long recognized that their tactics are reminiscent of those of playground bullies, two questions remain. Are they not aware of the lessons of history or are they being intentionally malevolent?
