Let's not forget our neighbors on the western side of the state line. Further
down the slide show listed above is recognition for Pullman, WA, too.

Best place to raise kids in Washington: Pullman
Nearby city: Moscow, Idaho
Population: 24,335
Median family income: $57,474
Runner-up: West Richland

Pullman is in the southeastern part of Washington state on the Idaho border, a
farming community in an area known as the Palouse. The Palouse wheat fields
stretch for miles, broken up only by such geographic marvels as the Snake
River, Hells Canyon, and the Cascade mountain range. In addition to its
natural beauty, Pullman is a seat of learning and home to Washington State
University. Pullman High School is highly regarded, and its WASL scores
average among the highest in the state.
