Meet the Candidates for the Moscow Food Co-op General Manager
The Moscow Food Co-op has scheduled public meetings with the two finalists for the position of Co-op General Manager, announced Andrika Kuhle, chair of the Co-op Search Committee. The two finalists are Seth Marcantonio of Great Barrington, Massachusetts, and Nils Peterson of Moscow.
Marcantonio will present his vision for the Co-op and answer questions at a public forum at the Co-op Deli at 7 p.m., Thursday, July 28. Marcantonio is currently the store manager of the Berkshire Co-op Market in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. He has been in the natural foods industry most of his professional career, including serving as a Dairy Manager, Grocery Manger, Training Manager, Assistant Store Director for several Wild Oats Markets, and now Store Manager.
Peterson will present his vision for the Co-op and answer questions at a public forum at the Co-op Deli at 7 p.m., Wednesday, August 3. Peterson has lived in Moscow for 18 years. He has 15 years of managerial experience at WSU, is a co-founder and board chair of the Palouse Prairie Charter School, and is the vice-chair of Moscow’s Planning and Zoning Commission.
The Co-op General Manager position opened when Kenna Eaton resigned to become the general manager of the Port Townsend Co-op.
Co-op members and staff are especially urged to attend the meetings and provide written input to the Co-op Board of Directors on forms that will be provided for that use.
The Co-op Board of Directors will select one of the candidates, or declare a failed search, at a special meeting in August. The board decision will be made by consensus. The decision will be announced following that board meeting.
The Co-op is located at 121 East Fifth Street in downtown Moscow.
