      What bothers me about this is that if it were a teacher, nurse, or police officer they would have been forced to resign their position. And this idiot is still a Senator. He is reckless and irresponsible regardless of what Idaho code number you put under it.

      Senators are suppose to be model citizens not drunkards that take property and drive intoxicated on public streets. 

      If our legislators cannot make good personal decisions for themselves, they have no business making them for the rest of us.

        However . . .

        I.C. 49-227 stipulates that this would be considered a misdemeanor if the intent to deprive is temporary and damage to the vehicle (or property taken from the vehicle) is valued at less than $1,000.  If damage (or property wrongly taken) exceeds $1,000 it is a felony.

        Upon further review it has been determined that damaged caused to the vehicle by Senator McGee was valued at $2,100, thus making it a felony.
