[Vision2020] How to get saved, #1

Don't lose hope, my friends, there is more than one way to get saved.  
Here is the first one.

Dr. Steven A. Crane, senior minister at Eagle Christian Church in  
Eagle, stated (Feb. 5), "It is only through Christ's atoning  
sacrifice that we can find salvation." Sorry, Rev. Crane, there is  
more than one way in the Bible to find salvation.

1. Salvation By Good Works
"What good deed must I do to get eternal life?" a young man asks  
Jesus. Even though he had kept the commandments all his life, Jesus  
tells him, "If you wish to be perfect, go, sell all your possessions  
and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in  
heaven" (Matthew 19:16-22; Luke 18:18-25).

“And the dead were judged according to their works, as recorded in  
the books” (Revelation 20:12c).

Jesus said, “– those who have done good, to the resurrection of life,  
and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of  
condemnation” (John 5:28-29).

There are still other ways to find salvation in the New Testament,  
but because I am restricted to only 200 words, I will have to tell  
you about them in succeeding letters. But I hope I have provided you  
with good sermon material to use while you are waiting.
