Sorry I didn’t see you there, Joe! And, wow – what a packed audience!
He was fantastic, wasn’t he? Today was my daughter’s 21st birthday, and she was absolutely thrilled for the opportunity to listen to him speak on her special day.
I don’t know that I have a favorite line (I had many), but I really appreciated the talk about the importance of all forms of justice, particularly economic justice, and that really resonated with the people sitting around us.
I also really appreciated his talk about the importance of education, but I notice that he didn’t tie the importance of education to getting a job, but rather to it putting some breadth in your length. That’s something Donovan would probably disagree with, but it’s what I was always taught was the purpose of higher education.

Speaking of vision, I saw Jesse Jackson tonight.
He was great; made me proud to be an American, and kept me mindful of the importance of folks in from the "back streets and rural America."
My favorite line: "the democratization of democracy."
