Weather stops megaload in Kooskia
February 3, 2011, 10:34 pm
KOOSKIA -- The ConocoPhillips megaload parked here may stay for a few days
as a winter storm moves into the higher elevations along U.S. Highway 12.
With snow forecast over the next four days, Mother Nature has done what
protesters couldnt do and stopped the oversized loads.
According to the National Weather Service, between 9 and 20 inches of snow
is is predicted to fall near Powell along U.S. 12 -- the route the load is
traveling through Idaho on its way to a Billings, Mont., refinery.
