Visionaires: Six legislators met today in Lewiston with Director Ness,
Idaho Transportation Director. Here are several points that came out of
the meeting.

  1. Thorncreek to Moscow Highway 95--An Environmental Impact Study has
been conducted and sent to D.C. Once it is approved then the Feds
have to go through a Legal Sufficiency Review. Hopefully this will
all be done within the next few months. The earliest that work
might start is 2015. The Department has $20 million reserved for
the project. The eight mile stretch is the most dangerous section
of Highway 95 in regard to accident rates--with over 300 accidents
      in the past 10 years.

  2. In 2014 the Department is committed to spend $900,000 to build a
a left turnbay at Lewis Road at the base of Highway 95 going up
      Steakhouse hill.
