The Moscow Police Department is searching for a University of Idaho assistant professor suspected in the shooting death of a woman at a home on Lilly Street.

Pullman Police Chief Chris Tennant confirmed his department was aiding the MPD in its search for the suspect, even locating a green Ford Mustang the suspect was believed to have been driving in the Zeppoz parking lot on Bishop Boulevard, but said it was later determined that the suspect was not hiding out inside the bowling alley and casino. The vehicle was impounded.

Police had cordoned off entrances to the home starting at an apartment complex on West A Street leading south down an alley to Pizza Perfection.

Moscow Police Lt. David Lehmitz in a news release states police responded to the crime scene around 8:40 p.m., and are searching for a black 2010 Chrysler Sebring with Washington plates: ABW3726. The release states to call law enforcement if sighted, but not to approach the vehicle. According to dispatch, the suspect is armed and dangerous. When contacted for comment, Lehmitz said police were still processing the crime scene and no more information would be released as of press time.

The name of the assistant professor was stated by police dispatch, but is being withheld by the Moscow-Pullman Daily News pending confirmation from the MPD.
