[Vision2020] LOL at Palouse Liberty Project

I agree that there is something ironic about a group called the Palouse Liberty
Project that censors it's comments section, but I don't see any harm in
preparing for disaster, even if you think the chances of the disaster actually
happening are slim. There are lots of possible scenarios that could leave us
without food shipments or electricity or with severe damage to house and home
for an extended period. It's always best to be prepared, and I'm behind any
kind of structure that enables a smooth transition during an actual disaster
scenario without things falling into a kind of Mad Max movie script.

As someone said (I haven't been able to track this one down), "Society is only
three square meals away from anarchy".

Hi Reggie,

Well, that’s really too bad, but I can’t say as I’m surprised. They used to
have a message board on their Web site (which I notice is now gone as well), and
it was obvious even back then that the genuine liberty-types were getting taken
over/shouted down by the Religious Right. Of course, the same thing happened
nationwide around the same time, which I found not only hilarious (the
astroturfed movement got co-opted) but also telling in that groups espousing
“liberty” find censorship of dissenting opinions appropriate just like good
little fascists.

But, really, what do we expect from a group of wingnuts whose idea of “safety”
is the following?

Palouse Committee of Safety
We are starting a group of like minded individuals to help our area better
prepare for the coming collapse.

We want to teach skills that will be useful in a Wymar or Soviet style collapse
that is inevitable.

Skills such as
First aid
Gardening
Homesteading
Hunting
Fishing
Canning
Meat preparation for storage
Firearms
Martial arts
Wilderness Survival/ Bushcraft
Urban Survival
Communications etc.

We have met with the Sheriff of Latah Co. he is in favor of such a group we
haven't been able to get a meeting with Whitman Co. Sheriff yet but we will as
soon as we can.
I want to make one thing clear as a rugged individual you will fail!
We need a group, a community, a tribe if you will.
That is the only way we can survive and thrive when TSHTF!
Alot of people say well I will just head for the hills well that will only work
if you are already there! Most likely you will be killed by the people who get
there before you!
We are not about heading for the hills but being there in our community to
ensure that there are good people to pick up the pieces when things fall apart.
We have worked too hard to build up this country to head for the hills and watch
it destroy itself we will stay here and fight for our homes if need be.

Lol at the Palouse Liberty Project for kicking me off their page for voicing a
opinion on energy policy that was different than that of the page's
administrator (even though I was as respectful as you all know I always am).
Maybe their new Tea Party slogan should be: "Palouse Liberty Project: Afraid of
discourse."
Just so you all know (if you go to PLP and look at their latest status update),
my first comment to them was "hmmm, I was not aware that 'sound energy policies'
means ignoring, and thereby further entrenching, America's dependency on
foreig...n oil. How much freedom will we have once the environment is completely
destroyed?"

I also made subsequent substantive comments which you can no longer see, as a
result of their "selective editing." Here is the link to that post:
