[Vision2020] Medical marijuana

It's kind of telling that when I say the War on Drugs is an intentional war on poor people, dark-skinned people, and women involved with bad men, you think I'm singling out the Right -- instead of failing to claim as your own the "truly pro-life, pro-justice, pro-family and pro-Constitutionalists around us" who ought to object to the War on Drugs. Of course, it's hard not to lay the blame for this failed War at the feet of the Right wing, given that it wasn't liberals who conflated marijuana with all manner of societal breakdown. Still, my point was that a real concern for justice, family, and the Constitution ought to energize the conservatives who see it's not working.

There are plenty of those in the center and on the left ( republican Democrat and Independent) who supported the war on drugs. Lets not cast stone, but pull together to pass a sane drug policy. We can start by supporting Tom Trail's Medical marijuana bill and then move on to at least legalizing Marijuana

Which means, of course, that it's gone just swimmingly as a war on poor people, dark-skinned people, and women involved with bad guys. I for one believe that's neither an unintended consequence NOR a messy display of collateral damage, and the truly pro-life, pro-justice, pro-family and pro-Constitution'ers around us ought to examine just where and how we got so desperately off track.
