Pullman police confiscate 38 marijuana plants, arrest four men

Two Washington State University football players and a WSU student were
among four men, all 20 years old, arrested Sunday shortly after midnight
when Pullman police found 38 marijuana plants at their house on Lower
Drive.

Pullman Police Cmdr. Chris Tennant said officers were executing a
non-related search warrant on the men's rental house when they found the
alleged grow operation in the basement. The plants were in varying stages
of maturity and police found other pieces of paraphernalia in the house.

The men were arrested on suspicion of manufacturing a controlled substance.

Bill Stevens, Cougar athletics sports information director, said one of
the players was academically ineligible to participate already and the
other was suspended for violation of team rules following his arrest
Sunday.

The Daily News has a policy of not naming suspects until they are charged.

This cedrtainly explains what the Cougs are discussing in their huddles.
It can't be football, obviously.

"The men were arrested on suspicion of manufacturing a controlled substance."

SUSPICION????

If the police would have held off any longer, they would have needed B&G
Logging to harvest it and Jack Buell to transport it.

Seeya round town, Moscow.
