While Idaho received the pretty much anticipated thumping on the field last night (the Broncos could truly end up playing for the national championship), it sounds like the fans, while being rowdy, as they should, there was nothing to drum up the "nasty and inebriated" stuff during this last Idaho-BSU game for a while, although it looks like they may start playing again in 2013.  From a BSU fan on Vandal Venue......
"Time to close up shop from a hotel near Moscow.  Before I do, I had to stop by to say thank you to the great Idaho fans I met today.  Despite being decked out in Bronco gear, a Vandal fan checking into the same hotel offered information about the campus and made suggestions for finding parking before the game.  Fans on campus were not unpleasant (just the usual banter between fans of opposing teams) while walking to the game.  Someone walking past our parking area approached us and offered directions for the best way to get to the stadium.  Everywhere I went on game day, Vandals were offering kindness.  Not what I expected and not what I had encountered with previous Vandal/Bronco interactions.  As I mentioned on this board on days leading up to the game, I did have digital footage running the entire time outside the stadium.  I have no film to share and nothing to report other than a surprised Bronco fan who was sure this last year would be the nastiest.  Instead it turned out to be the most pleasant.  Thank you again to all of the unknown contributors who were excellent hosts.  Hope we can do it again in the future.
