[Vision2020] rosy future for rabid liberal at loose ends?

My goodness, this is becoming more than a little tedious. Since it seems that precision is what we are all about all of a sudden let me make sure I understand you correctly. In a thread that has evolved into the relative merits of FOX news and the lack there of, I am now guilty of failing to answer "the question of whether certain (which I take from the rather pompous nonclarification is meant to be me but then again who can be sure. Perhaps I'm to answer for the policey failings of Henry Cabot Lodge or Joe Gurney Cannon) conservatives rarely offer new approaches to regional/national/global problems and even more rarely give substantive reasons to believe such approaches would actually work and benefit those affected by them."

Is it just me or does this seem a tad overblown, considering the subject?

The word was "slink" not "prance."
  http://www.thefreedictionary.com/slink
  http://www.thefreedictionary.com/prance

Such a misreading seems to provide even more evidence for the problems I have not inadvertently and not without some substantiation attributed to you.

Also, I am dreadfully sorry that my words were not clearer: "deer" was not intended; more like "moose" or wild boar" in accordance with your soma was.
  http://www.thefreedictionary.com/deer
  http://www.thefreedictionary.com/moose
  http://www.thefreedictionary.com/wild+boar

  Nor was "costume:"

I humbly beg your forgiveness for my inexcusable lack of clarity.

And I duly note your continued avoidance of the question of whether certain [<<< emphasized in a pre-emptive attempt to avoid another misresponse]conservatives rarely offer new approaches to regional/national/global problems and even more rarely give substantive reasons to believe such approaches would actually work and benefit those affected by them.

My gosh! You're right! I don't know why it never occurred to me before. I could simply suggest that those I don't agree with are cognitively disabled, have a reading comprehension problem, are given to over consumption of Keystone light, and that they should put on a deer costume and prance about in the woods during hunting season. It's as though a whole new world has opened up to me. Thank you ever so much for your valuable insights into problem solving.

We could hardly have a better example of someone painting themselves into a corner, in this case probably for a lifetime, than Gary's responses in this thread. That's why many of his like-minded associates are called conservatives, not in the original meaning of the word, but because they are conceptionally unable to think that new and better ways of solving problems can be found.

I don't recall ever mentioning KRFP before the last week of last month. I suppose it's possible but fairly unlikely. Either way, contempt was not what I expressed. What I said was that they had a bias and were purveyors of progressive propaganda. When the stations mission statement plainly states that it's dedicated to "progressive values" and "social change" it's not an expression of contempt it's a statement of fact. I firmly believe that stating facts in a discussion is a more productive thing than using the "you're too stupid to understand" gambit. You're welcome to stick with what ever works for you.
