Doonesbury posts a weekly straw poll. This week's poll is rather
interesting . . .

"BP CEO Tony Hayward doesn't seem overly alarmed about the Gulf oil spill,
noting "It's a relatively small leak compared to the volume of water in
the Gulf." Following his lead, let's shake off the impulse to view the
event negatively and look for a silver lining in the inky gloom.

What's the upside of the Gulf oil spill?"

"First of all, if New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani learned that there
were between 3 billion and 16 billion barrels of oil underneath Central
Park, he would be out there first thing Monday morning laying down orange
traffic cones to save parking spaces for the roughnecks."

- Jonah Goldberg, The Washington Times
