Free Concert at Intolerista Wingding

Everyone is invited, at no charge, to the Second Annual Intolerista Wingding with Roy Zimmerman at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre in downtown Moscow on Saturday, May 15th, at 6pm.

This free community event is sponsored by the Intoleristas, a local group of concerned citizens whose goal is to nurture a sense of community in Moscow.

The Wingding is a chance for progressive, lefty, and liberal folks to get together and celebrate with an evening of funny songs about ignorance, war and greed, noted Intolerista spokesperson Tom Hansen.

The star of the show will be Roy Zimmerman of California (www.royzimmerman.com). He's been writing satirical songs for twenty years and travels around the US playing his original music and building a national reputation.

The Los Angeles Times says, "Zimmerman displays a lacerating wit and keen awareness of society's foibles that bring to mind a latter-day Tom Lehrer."
Tom Lehrer himself says, "I congratulate Roy Zimmerman on reintroducing literacy to comedy songs."
Joni Mitchell says, "Roy's lyrics move beyond poetry and achieve perfection."
Opening for Zimmerman will be Moscow pianist and songwriter, Jeanne McHale.

Samples of Roy's and Jeanne's work may be viewed at: http://www.MoscowCares.com/Wingding2010
The doors to this free concert open at 5 pm on May 15.
