My goodness.  The "Stupid Insensitivity To Human Suffering" virus seems to have spread to the halls of Congress . . . 

You know the debate has gone haywire when natural-born juvenile citizens of the U.S. are considered nothing more than foul appendages of their evil parents, and those parents -- human beings trying to provide for their families -- are equated with grasshoppers.
