Immediately below is an item from today's Daily News describing the sentencing of a man for two counts of lewd conduct with a minor.  Notice:

"He was sentenced to two terms of 35 years in prison.  Syms will spend 16 years in prison before he is eligible for parole. "

Contrast this case with what occurred in the case of New Saint Andrews student and Christ Church Cult member Steven Sitler.  Sitler is out on the streets of our community after serving only seven months, none of it hard time, and against the recommendations of the state sexual predator evaluators -- who described Sitler as a high risk to re-offend.

Below are two clips of many about Sitler.  The first, with names deleted is about the Sitler's forcing a two year old to kiss his (Sitler's) erect penis.

"Steven has admitted to several incidents of sexual perversion.  We personally only know of the full details of his molestation of our [name deleted].  When [name deleted] was only two years old, Steven offered to take [name deleted] downstairs and watch [name deleted] while (the adults were talking upstairs). At that time he forced [name deleted] to kiss his erect penis.  It was painful enough to be told of the perversion that Steven committed against [name deleted] yet now we have watched for the last six months as an admitted child molester has been living in the comforts of his parent's home, whiling away the days that should be spent in jail."



The second is a clip from the horrible plea bargain made in this case.  Note that:

"The prosecuting attorney has been made aware by counsel for the defendant that the volume and extent of acts by the defendant are greater than the investigator's documentation. The prosecuting attorney has also been made aware by counsel for the defendant that similar acts occurred in connection with minors now residing in other states."

Note the blatant disparity in the sentences.  Despite the more egregious conduct by Sitler, he gets seven months soft time and probation while the other gets 35 years (minimum 16 years) hard time.  Sitler also was allowed to live at home in another state for six months despite the fact that probable cause existed for his immediate arrest in Latah County at the time of the reported offense.

[In case you are wondering, this is not an objection to the sentence given Michael D. Syms.]

Sitler's sentence is a result of county Prosecutor William Thompson, Sheriff Wayne Rasch, and District Judge John Stegner shamelessly kowtowing to Cultmaster Douglas Wilson and the Christ Church Cult.

How long is this community going to stand for the cancer that is the Christ Church Cult and those officials in power that continue to place our community at great risk by slavishly kowtowing to them?

MOSCOW

Moscow man sentenced for lewd conduct

Michael D. Syms, 35, of Moscow was sentenced Tuesday by District Judge Carl Kerrick after pleading guilty Dec. 11 to two counts of lewd conduct with a minor under 16. He was sentenced to two terms of 35 years in prison. 

Syms will spend 16 years in prison before he is eligible for parole. 

The incidents occurred between February 2009 and July 2009 with two 14-year-old Moscow Junior High School students. 

The victims and their families were at the sentencing, according to a Latah County prosecuting attorney news release. 

Kerrick told the defendant lewd conduct is one of most serious and damaging crimes a person can commit, according the release.
