"Hey pot, I have a sense of humor, and I thought you did too, judging by these "articles""
If Dan has a sense of humor, then why's he getting all riled up about something that's supposed to be funny?
What, he only laughs at things that belittle people he doesn't agree with?
I believe I have a sense of humor, too (yes I do find Dan's complaint humorous considering his response I outlined in the previous email)
The irony is I also have a sense of solidarity with the tea baggers.
The tea baggers are upset at government intrusion as am I.
The tea baggers blame elected officials for passing stupid law, as do I.
The main difference I see (besides some points of view) is that some tea baggers seem to be super angry hotheads (at least the ones who yell during public meetings and do other uncivil things) where as I think I've kept my cool (at least relative to the teabaggers)
If they showed up at one of Dan's meetings and started yelling, would Dan think that's funny or would he think it appropriate to belittle them in public?
Considering the noise the teabaggers have made, it's not surprising that they are ridiculed and if they lived in our town they probably would have gotten a ticket now thanks to a law Dan helped pass (one which he initially told me he thought should be placed in the "shitter")
If the tea baggers are so concerned about Constitutional infringements, would flip-flopping Dan be one of their enemies since he seems to have little regard for protecting the First Amendment's free speech clause?
Probably not considering the tea baggers seem really not all that concerned with protecting the Constitution so much as forcing their point of view on the weak which is why that movement will fail. It's too full of anger, contradictions and different points of view to really be affective in addressing the concerns most Americans worry about...

ps The main reason I'm harping on Dan is he's an elected official who says one thing and then does another. I don't trust him and don't think he should be in office. So if I can alert fellow constituents about our representative, perhaps voters will remember that and not reelect him.
It has nothing to do with him personally only in the regard that he's passing laws that affect us all. So hopefully his sense of humor will help him not take this personally.
Sincerely, an organic tea bagger.
