Retirement Reception: John Sawyer

The Dean of Students Office will be hosting a retirement reception
honoring John Sawyer on Monday, June 21, from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Aurora
Room of the Idaho Commons. Sawyer has been with the University of Idaho
serving our veterans and families for 33 years.

John Sawyer was the very first person I met when I stepped foot on the UI
campus during the first week of August 1992.  I spent almost three hours
with him that day as he explained various procedures and processes
available to me as a veteran.  When I walked out of his office, I felt
comfortable and confident in myself and my future as a student at UI.  He
was always available.
