[Vision2020] Does BP have to comply?

Your thoughts are well put, Sam. How do "we" do it, indeed?

I am amused--it's better to laugh than to cry--at the antics of
people who have been totally against having the government do
anything at all. Private enterprise can do everything better, they
have been screaming.

So what do they yell for now that private enterprise has goofed? Let
the government take care of it, let President Obama fix it!

But isn't this socialism? Horrors!

But never fear, BP will be taken to court and made to fix the mess.

The courts, including the Supreme Court of the US, have been loaded
in recent years with staunch conservatives. Clarence Thomas was
formerly a lawyer for Monsanto, John Roberts' entire career has been
as a corporation lawyer. I am sure there are many others like them in
lower courts, thanks to the wishes of conservatives all across the land.

Don't you think these conservative judges will find a way to favor
the large corporations over the problems of ordinary Americans? I do.
