The following U.S. service member died while supporting combat operations
in Iraq, confirmed by the Defense Department from January 8, 2010 through
January 14, 2010:

Army Pfc. Michael R. Jarrett, 20, of North Platte, Nebraska; assigned to
the 2nd Battalion, 159th Aviation Regiment, 12th Combat Aviation Brigade,
Illesheim, Germany.

Killed: 1; Wounded in action: 4

March 19, 2003 – January 14, 2010
Killed: 4,363; wounded in action: 31,620

in Afghanistan, confirmed by the Defense Department from January 8, 2010
through January 14, 2010:

Army Sgt. Lucas T. Beachnaw, 23, of Lowell, Michigan; assigned to the 2nd
Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team,
Camp Ederle, Italy.

Marine Sgt. Christopher R. Hrbek, 25, of Westwood, New Jersey; assigned to
3rd Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine
Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

Marine Staff Sgt. Matthew N. Ingham, 25, of Altoona, Pennsylvania;
assigned to 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine
Expeditionary Force, Okinawa, Japan.

Marine Cpl. Jamie R. Lowe, 21, of Johnsonville, Illinois; assigned to 3rd
Reconnaissance Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary
Force, Okinawa, Japan.

Army Staff Sgt. Daniel D. Merriweather, 25, of Collierville Tennessee;
assigned to the 118th Military Police Company (Airborne), 503rd Military
Police Battalion (Airborne), 16th Military Police Brigade (Airborne), Fort
Bragg, North Carolina.

Marine Cpl. Nicholas K. Uzenski, 21, of Tomball, Texas; assigned to 3rd
Reconnaissance Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary
Force, Okinawa, Japan.

Army Pfc. Geoffrey A. Whitsitt, 21, of Taylors, South Carolina; assigned
to the 118th Military Police Company (Airborne), 503rd Military Police
Battalion (Airborne), 16th Military Police Brigade (Airborne), Fort Bragg,
North Carolina.

Army Spc. Kyle J. Wright, 22, of Romeoville, Illinois; assigned to the 2nd
Battalion, 1st Infantry Regiment, 5th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd
Infantry Division, Fort Lewis, Washington.
