PRESS RELEASE



 

January 19, 2010

 

On Monday, January 18, 2010 at 11:22 hours officers responded to a
residence in the 600 block of South Harrison in reference to a female
who was unconscious.  Upon arrival of emergency personnel, it was
determine the individual was deceased.  The female was identified as
Shannon Marlowe, W/F 27 years of age.  Shannon's hometown is Rexburg,
Idaho.  She is listed in the University of Idaho campus directory as a
senior with a major in the Martin Institute of International Studies. 

 

Preliminary investigation by detectives indicates the death was the
result of a respiratory arrest caused by alcohol poisoning and drugs.
No foul play is suspected at this time.  Exact cause of death will be
determined by the medical examiner after reviewing the results of
toxicology reports.
