JEERS ... to state Reps. Tom Trail, R-Moscow, Ken Roberts, R-Donnelly, and Paul Shepherd, R-Riggins. They voted the GOP line Tuesday, repudiating President Barack Obama's and the Democratic Congress' attempt to reform health care.

All 52 House Republicans voted for a measure that obligates Idaho to spend at least $100,000 challenging in court any health care reform package Congress passes.

All 18 Democrats - including Reps. Shirley Ringo of Moscow, and John Rusche and Liz Chavez of Lewiston - voted no.

"The Idaho Health Freedom Act is not saying 'no' to health care reform," says Rep. Jim Clark, R-Hayden Lake. "It's the first step toward saying yes."

Come on. When was the last time Idaho lawmakers did anything to help uninsured adults?

Idaho now has 222,600 citizens - most of them working poor - who can't get affordable health insurance.

The Idaho House has just stood up for their rights to remain uninsured. - M.T.
